Texas Soul License to Carry
Have you finished the online portion for your LTC? If you are looking to complete the Shooting Proficiency Test only, then please call 832-930-3338 to schedule. It is $30 + Range Fee and fairly easy to complete. Failure to pass this class does not make you eligible for a refund.
Prerequisites & What to Bring
Important Details
- Must already be proficient with firearms
- “Learn How to Shoot” training can be added during checkout.
- Instructor will complete Part B & Part C of certificate at end of session.
- A total of 50 rounds are fired during the course of the qualification test.
- A score of 70%, or 175 out of 250, is required to pass.
- No holster shooting or shooting from concealed is required.
What to Bring
- Physical Copy LTC Certificate
- 1 Handgun- no laser optics
- 50 Rounds of Ammunition (brass)
- Driver’s License/State ID
- Ear/Eye Protection (provided if needed)

Gun Range
All class fees are NON REFUNDABLE and do not include the state application fee. Class completion does not guarantee a License to Carry will be approved. The Texas Department of Public Safety makes the final decision based on their guidelines.

Individuals must be 18 years of age to attend this class, including Active Duty Military who must be 18 years of age to attend this class.
